Hi,
I have started the process of trying to reclaim PPI from Welcome. Back in the day (early 2000's), I had loans which were settled /refinanced as well as a couple of Car finance agreements.
I submitted a SAR and received paperwork for 6 account numbers in total. Some of it was patchy at best. 4 had PPI applied, 2 did not.
I sent complaint letters off for the 4 accounts to Welcome and received a reply asking me to fill in a complaint form, but for only one account number. I called them (the lady was actually very helpful) and was told that one account was pre June 2000 so I couldn't claim (not sure if this is true) and for the other 2, one I have to go to AVIVA and one through the broker DCF. From reading various forums on various sites, it appears DCF is no more. So I Googled the phone number she gave me and it shows that this number is linked to The Funding Corporation. Now I am confused as reading up on TFC, a lot of forums say to bypass them as they are unhelpful and go directly to the underwriter who I believe is AXA?
Any advice?
