  • Where to post??

Hi, we are new to this and wondering where to post this?? We would please like some advice on taking action against our local council... we flooded earlier this year and despite me registering with them that we thought their drain on our road was blocked, they did nothing!!! The day after we flooded they found it was 80% blocked. We believe this is a simple case of negligence. A FOI Act request shows they never visited our road in the 5months before our flood, despite them assuring us they did! We lost a lot of belongings and suffered an awful 6months as our boiler packed up too with a young family, and the insurance refused to pay out too. Kind regards

Why did the insurance company refuse to pay? I'm sure more knowledgeable Beagles will be along shortly.

We had only lived there 6minths and on investigating way back previous owners had flooded we had not investigated paperwork properly at time of move! Of note it was clearly a drainage issue as the fire brigade first emptied the blocked ditch and pipe then moved into our home to pump water out! Thank you
