Hi There.
Please bear with me......
I have recently checked my register for my property/home with The Land Registry and have discovered various charges made back in 2007. These were a result of a difficult period in my life and resulted in CCJs being made against me, and as these were not paid, the charges were lodged.
I am now in a position to try to remove the charges (the CCjs are no longer registered against me as the 6 year period has lapsed.
I have a few questions/points that I'd like to ask that im hoping someone in the legal field, or others who have experienced the same issues with, can please help me with;
1. I have contacted the respective county courts (with whom the various initial ccjs were lodged) and have requested information, such as the amounts and the reference numbers (I no longer have any related documentation) , so that I may approach the creditors to seek settlement. I have had varying responses from each of the courts ranging from "they may not have the details" to " I need to approach the lenders again". Im confused
2. Is this the right approach?
3. Does anyone have any other advice on how I can address this?
Many thanks
