  • Question re returning a faulty item

Hello, I am looking for some advice on
returning an item I purchased 3 months ago &
still under warranty, I have contacted the seller & I have
been told I am expected to return the item at my cost & also pay to have it returned to me, when repaired.
this sounds a little unfair & I was wondering if this is the norm or am I being treated wrongly?

You are right... it is not only unfair , it is wrong
    Consumer Rights Act 2015
sec 23 Right to repair or replacement
    (1) This section applies if the consumer has the right to repair or replacement (seesection 19(3) and (4)).
    (2) If the consumer requires the trader to repair or replace the goods, the tradermust—(a) do so within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenienceto the consumer, and(b) bear any necessary costs incurred in doing so (including in particularthe cost of any labour, materials or postage).

Hello again, regarding the above, it's now been 24hrs since I emailed the trader regarding the Consumer Rights Act & not received a reply, I'm just curious as to what my next steps maybe to get this problem resolved, I feel they have read my email and ignored it.
is there anything I can do to shake them up & get this faulty item repaired (but not at my cost for both ways postage)?

you should have sent email "read receipt", so you could be sure they had received it.
They may not have received it.
Also a response within 24 hours? I do feel you should give them a little longer, seeing the time includes a Sunday.

What is the item, and what is the fault?
Did you purchase from a shop or online?
