  • Rlp demanding money / shop lifting

On the 25th of July i stupidly decided to steal things from tkmaxx and was caught. The police were not called. All i did was give back what i stole & my address etc. I have received 3 letters from them and have just got another one saying that 'ignoring the matter won't make it go away and it is not in your interest to do so either as it could result in additional liabilities becoming payable to you' and if i don't respond within 14 days that they will seek proceedings against me.

Should i ignore or just pay?

definitely IGNORE ... as other Beagles will undoubtedly tell you too

They may threaten you with court (RLP cannot take you to court, only TKMaxx can ... and they've no interest in doing that now it's been passed to RLP )

      Hi and welcome.

      Just keep ignoring them!
Unfortunately they keep the pressure up for sometime, it used to be for about nine months.
If they ever intended recommending their client (TKMax) took court action they would not have wasted three letters on you.
Eventually they will pass "the debt" to a debt collector, who will also write to you (possibly in red ink!).
      Ignore them as well.
They will then beg you to pay a reduced amount or else!!
      They then stop .
