Hello to all

Can someone please let me know the answer.

I asked one of the utilities for the 'Start' and 'End' dates between which they supplied services to a Limited Co. which occupied a leased premises. I previously had the information but I lost it. I gave the name of the company, but the utility invoked the Data Protection Act.

I checked and found that the company is dissolved. Does the Data Protection Act still apply although it no longer exist ?

If you look at the Experian page on this very matter, there is some guidance on page 11 of this document as to who owns and controls the information that is being controlled under Data Protection. But in your case, the information that you request is held with a utility, being separate from the company's own records.

You say you once held this information .... how was that originally obtained? And I agree, what is the purpose of your request?
