Please advise who overseas currys and is there a website that I can refer to for dangerous IT products (dangerous laptops). Trading standards aren't much assistance. Thank you.

Thanks have that already...I'm looking for an organisation that oversees the company..(not the exec office, nor the ombudsman)...more a regulator for their faulty IT goods that are a safety concern and taken off market.

Hi ... I would have thought that the very place to report unsafe electrical equipment, or at least seek initial advice from, would be your local Trading Standards Office. If you follow the Gov.uk link below, you will be able to find your local office to apply to.

But you already state that Trading Standards haven't been much help. Can you explain why that is?

Out of interest, why do you consider the laptop to be dangerous and what reaction you have, to date, had from Currys themselves? Have you spoken to the customer service of the branded goods?

The only other people I can think of is the Health & Safety Executive but I believe their responsibilities tend to be restricted to workplace issues.
