  • Trust Deeds SCOTLAND

The DWP wants me change my method of payment from the Post Office to a Bank,Building Society or credit union. The trouble is I have an ongoing Scottish Trust Deed, that does not allow you to have more than £200 in your account. My DLA, ESA and support allowance along with Carers allowance amounts to almost £300 per week.

What happens to Scottish people in trust deeds.

I,m sure it effects English and Welsh people do

    What do I do?

    Thanking you in anticipation.

    Hi and welcome.

What DWP want, and what you must accept are sometimes different things
Suggest you read this thread: http://legalbeagles.info/forums/show...%92-letter-DWP

Thank you des8 for your reply. I looked at the link which was very interesting.

To let you know I have written to my MP as the law would need to be changed if the DWP insist on this however they have chosen their words well,

As I stated before thank you for your response, it was appreciated.

        Too des8
I contacted both my MSP (George Adam ) just to keep him aware. however as the issue is a Westminster one he contacted my MP Gavin Newlands both explained a lot but they are getting back to me.
I also contacted my insolvency practitioners, who are prepared to allow me some £400 plus in my account as long as its benefit money.
Next I plucked up the courage to phone the DWP I explained about the law, they were very plausible and said its not mandatory, they are only doing this u[on the introduction of universal credit, it could be 18months to 2 years before its mandatory, mean time the lady at the DWP says she will put a note next to the machine advising them of my disabilities and change is not on at the moment.
Thanks to you des8 for installing in me the confidence to start the ball rolling
        Cheers FFrraawwiill22
