  • Hello

Hi, I am a new member hoping for a bit of guidance on the format in which I should file a reply to a defence with the court following an Order set by the Judge.

I have already submitted the Directions Questionnaire (Small Claims Track) but a Judge has now ordered that I file a reply to the defence before he is prepared to set a date for a hearing. I want to ensure that I set it out in the correct format - any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

See attached for example for layout.

Content wise - are there issues raised in the defence which require response to assist the Judge?

I'm guessing from your posts that you're the Claimant so can you say what your claim is for and also what was the basis of the Defence which was filed in response.

Maybe (and I don't know this) the DJ was seeking clarity on some legal issues before listing a hearing date. There could be a need for the court to asses how much time will be needed for the hearing.

Can you post up the POC removing the personal information. And if possible can you also post up the Defence (removing all personal details too).
