Italian friend

My friend is Italian, she is extremely worried that if we British win the leave vote, she will be asked to leave Britain. In November this year she can apply for citizenship. Since being in Britain she as worked, paid her taxes & NI. I am sure I have heard under some act (which I can't remember) she will not be asked to leave.
Please can you help me to stop her stress levels going any higher. Thank you.

Even if we vote to leave the EU it will be a few years before anything will change and there will not be any sudden ‘rounding up’ of non British residents. Your friend will be fine.
