We moved house 2 years ago and sent the normal advisory letters to all suppliers advising them of the move and the cancellation of their services.
We later received a bill from TalkTalk who I replied to with a copy of my first letter saying that a) they had been told of the impending move and b) as the property was being developed there was no one to take over any service that might have been left. I heard nothing more them until earlier this week when I received a letter from the together with one from Lowell Portfolio saying I owed £185.39 and Lowell would be dealing with it.
I see from other correspondence that it is unwise to contact Lowell who will not be interested in the rights or wrongs of the case.
How can I get these leeches off my back?
