  • ML collections: Judgment set-a-side

Today I went to court to challenge a county court judgment from ML collection ( sold to them from JAS). ML collections did not turn up and I was in and out in less than a minute. Judgment was set a side, I now have two weeks to file my deference one copy to the court and the other to ML collection. The court Usher said this can be done by normal post!.

One of the reasons I had this fine was because JAS refused my appeal on the grounds that I was to late, they in turn had sent there letter out with dated 17th October, but I did not receive it until the 29th. By the time I did appeal they said it was too late and would not issue me with a POPLA code.

But today in court I had the judgment set a side. I now have to file my deference.

1: Do I send my defense late to ML collections?
2: Or was it sent, but got lost in the post?

    Thank you.

Was it ? If so then popla was never on the table.

You send the defence to them if the court said too but not late !!!!!

2: Or was it sent, but got lost in the post?
      No idea what you mean.

Can you post up all the information you have, suitably sanitised of course, such as claim form letters appeals etc
