  • Desperately needing help trying to get a payment plan set up with Veryc

    Hoping for some advice
i have been trying to set up payment plan with very since October 2015 I have done everything in writing. They gave me £200 a month payment plan to start with for three month but they were adding more than that in. Charges and interest. I have written to them every month since October asking them to cap the interest and arrange a payment plan every letter I send takes the a month to reply to just had another response and still no payment plan offered they have added over £1300 in interest since October and I just keep getting the same response that they cannot do anything to help and my case is closed I am in despair now as to what yo do next and who to turn to can someone give me any advice
    thank you for reading this

I assume that you are talking about a 'Very' home shopping catalogue?

Catalogue debts are always going to be with us as they are so easy to order from, stack up tremendous amounts of credit and then have a nightmare trying to pay it back. It's a high risk business and such risks carry high charges, it's as simple as that.

It is clear that you are not going to get anywhere on your own and I suggest that you make an appointment with your local CAB and see what they can do to help. Using the CAB as an independent intermediary ( although they treat you as 'a client' ), they will prepare an income and expenditure statement, define your disposable income and negotiate with Very on your behalf. They may also help you argue the high and untenable level of interest and other charges to date.

There is not always a magic answer to non priority debt and I have met many, many people who are similarly thousands in debt, which I suspect is the case with you. Yes, it is poor money management on your behalf but now is the time to seek help and adhere to whatever plan the CAB can get accepted for you. Good luck !
