Time to claim benifits from estate

Can anyone tell the length of time they can take to reclaim money's from my mothers estate. Can care payments be reclaimed as well
probate was June 2015. They have had information since then. They had worked out the amount in January 2016 but we still have not received letter to executor allowing money to be dispersed. Is there anywhere we can complain.

Simmsy, are you talking about DWP claiming for overpayments, to be taken from the estate?
