  • PPI Claim fee

What im basically asking is Does a PPI claim payment pay off the creditors first before before they take there claim finders fee if your in a IVA.

As I am currently been in an IVA since Nov2014 in which I owned roughly £8700 to creditors
I am paying £95 per month.
In July of last year 2015 a PPI claim was settled from one of my creditors in which I received £14.000
as I was in a IVA the check was sent to my IVA company.
I only found out this matter due to a final breakdown file of the PPI in a letter I received this month march 2016
I still been paying the £95.

Any PPI compensation should go to your creditors. Most CMC contracts do specify this and that you'll be liable for their fees.

Can you confirm how much your PPI settlement was at it appears it was a lot more than your IVA amoiunt? Also who was the CMC?

Hi Thanks for the reply on my post
I first started a claim for PPI withby myself while on money matchers .
When I finished with them to go on an IVA nothing was stated that they were going to pursue PPI as I had already started .
on a statement they have claimed nearly £6000 of the £14.000 payout as a ppi claim finder even though I started it
plus all other payments for this and that adds up to a far amount
but since then back in july I have continued to pay the £95 per month still even though they received over £14.0000

Just a comment on the summs:

On the MoneyMatch Reclaim site it states its fees are 30% +vat

Which on a £14,000 reclaim comes to £4,200+£840 (20% vat on £4,200) which totals £5,040

We really need some clearer information as to what happened and when. Also who are ''money matchers'' and why were you with them?

MoneyMatchers is a CMC and were a Debt Management company - the DMP side of their business seems to have closed recently so possibly they are not getting their full licence
