Hello can anyone on this site help me regarding quarantine kennels at Folkstone, my grandson arrived in UK on Saturday from Greece with his French bull dog all paper work was there and all injections done including the tape worm but the Greek vet had not taken a blood sample 21 days after Rabies injection so the dog was quarantined till a vet here can do this, he has done it today the result will be in 72 hours can anyone tell me what the charges are for the kennels at the port please so we can have a rough idea of what we will have to pay, thank you

        Re: kennel fees

Hello my grandson was reunited last Wednesday with his little dog it was quarantined for 5 days at a cost of £658, £315 for a blood test to prove the Rabies injection had worked as she had it in Greece and they spoke to the Greek Vet, £180 Vet consultation and reviews plus £27. 80p per day for this little puppy that had all its paper work and injections its a rip off but if we didnt pay the dog would have been put to sleep

I am sorry we could not give you more advice,, but pleased you did the right thing and she's still here.
Thanks for your update and tbh this is a warning and proof the hard way that you must make sure all of the pet passport rules are followed through' outgoing and incoming to the uk.
I don't think anyone here could have predicted your costs tbh and actually I do not think personally £27.80 a day is bad for a kennel fee total £139, the rest is vetenary fees that no one can predict

What was more upsetting for my grandson is that people before him could not afford the fees so the dogs or cats were left after much arguing and my grandson was told they are put to sleep which i find totally disgusting
