  • Advice please injury after beauty treatment

Advice needed please... Not sure if this is the right website to post on.
at the weekend I had a waxing beauty treatment on my face which resulted in burns. The marks are very visible and sore. I have been back to the spa where the treatment was done and they have not been very helpful. They did not even offer me a refund. I'm unsure what to do next. I was planning on contacting there head office.
    can anyone offer advice please?

    Thanks

Likewise, I would rather suggest you also to consult a legal authority if the head office does not response after you present them your proof of injury after the beauty tr.eatment

      Hi hills,

Yes you've posted in the right place. If you haven't got anywhere speaking directly to the spa you should put a formal complaint in writing to their head office, giving them as much detail as possible, including what happened when you returned to the spa to complain. You shouldn't be left suffering like this after a treatment even if there were warnings. Did the spa do a reaction test on you first ? Have you had this treatment before ?

There will be disclaimers in their T&C's but they can't avoid liability for injury ( burns are an injury), a reaction to products ok, but burns from wax means something has gone wrong.

I don't know how serious the burns are, but if there is pain or scarring beyond a few days you may need to go down the damages/compensation route - but first step is definately a letter to head office. Is it a large chain of spa's ?

Any support I provide is offered without liability, if you are unsure please seek professional legal guidance.
