  • settlement agreement conditions?

    Hi,

I am new to this site but was wondering if someone could offer some advice?
I wont go into the specifics but basically taking ex employer to tribunal...but just recently their solicitor contacted mine to see if I would consider a settlement.
Initially I wanted my day in court as it were so that people could hear how bad they were, but as i've already been through criminal court and I also accept the tribunal should be the last port of call if we cant sort things out... BUT my main issue isn't specific about the money...I'd want one of the employee's who has lied in this statement to retract his comments as they were vile (of a sexual nature) these caused me so much distress when I read it in their papers ... I considered
a civil case against this individual but after law court, ET I don't know how much I could take...
My question is would it be reasonable to get the ex employers solicitors to write this in an agreement/settlement - they can state its his comments not the companies.. I just want him to retract these lies.. do you think what I am asking is reasonable? is it likely they would do this?
    thanks for any help.
