  • Hello

    Hi,

I have just joined this forum as I was hoping to get help in a family matter for a friend. My thread on that is here: http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...tion-7-reports

I have considerable experience with the Credit Consumer Act and defending claims after default of agreements prior to 2006 (where the credit companies failed to keep agreements); I have had considerable success with managing these unsubstantiated claims, although failing in one such claim due to a procedural error! So I know the pitfalls too! If I can help anyone from my experience I would be happy to try to do so, but I have no legal training in this field; I do have limited legal training in consumer sale law from a back ground in the motor industry, which sparked an interest in the law and given the opportunity I would have retrained as a barrister, but unfortunately circumstances prevented this. However, I do have a high IQ and a good idea of "common sense" which law is based on! So I can work out most things!". Sorry if that makes me sound like I have a big ego, I do not and do not wish it to come across that way, I just know what I know and also know my limitations! If I can help anyone I will be happy to do so, but please don't take anything I say as gospel! :-)

    Re: Hello

Hi Colin, Common sense goes a long way around here - you'll see by looking at the court claims forums that the consumer credit act 1974 features very heavily, so look forward to seeing you about the place if you have any extra insights I'm sure they will be welcomes
