  • Hello!

    Hi everyone,

I found this Forum, looking for advice regarding PPI claims. I've recently found some old paperwork and discovered I actually had PPI on a store card (Dorothy Perkins) and mortgage insurance policy (Derbyshire, taken over by Nationwide).

I've previously tried complaining to 3 other companies a few years ago and I had and received rejection letters. Although I had no paperwork (or so I thought) for these, I accepted their decision. I thought I had no PPI on any cards or loans, until I came across an old file box recently and discovered lots of old statements with PPI clearly stated. I know for certain I would not have asked for this, or signed for it, or accepted over the phone, as I was in full time employment and covered by sick pay and redundancy payments.

So re Dorothy Perkins, I've contacted Genworth Financial directly by letter and received a brief telephone call asking me to confirm I was in full time employment and if I could remember a telephone call in 2000?! They said they would continue to investigate my claim and be in touch shortly. I have received a letter from Nationwide acknowledging receipt of my complaint and they will contact me again before 2nd November 2015.

This time, I'm not giving in! Reading this forum has been extremely helpful and I'd like to hope by documenting my experience, it might help someone else too.

    Waiting in anticipation!
