    Hello all,

Hardship and Debt seem to be my constant companions. I'm being pursued by WEBFUSION for a debt that is not mine. On the 20th of December they sent an invoice to "My Limited Company" for web hosting.
I explained in a letter that the account had previously been closed by me as director of the limited company.

They denied all knowledge of being instructed to close the account.
They are now threatening to take me personally to court and threatening me with a debt collection agency.

    Does anybody have any experience?

    Thanks

    John Smith

    Re: WEBFUSION

Did you instruct Webfusion to close the account in writing( by email or letter) and when was that?

Was the original account opened by the limited company or by you personally ?

      Re: WEBFUSION

      Hello,
Thanks for replying. I'm not sure how the account was cancelled. I remember a heated conversation with them on the phone in 2012, because of their very poor customer service and poor technical performance.

I'm sure I backed that up with a letter and email and told them to cancel the account, but so far the paperwork remains elusive. I opened the account a long time ago, and never used it.

Surely the fact that the first line of the invoice "The Limited Company" with my name and address underneath makes it the responsibility of "The Limited Company" especially since it is a VAT invoice and a legal document.

The storm of emails seems to have blown itself out. With a valedictory email threatening legal action.
I've had one letter to my home address. This just had my address scribbled on it; no name.
I replied with a cease and desist letter. During the storm of emails I sent them a letter on my company note paper, telling them to cancel the account anyway. And to send all supporting paperwork to my registered office. So far nothing heard.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
