Hi I found the site through a Google search where I was trying to find out about the legality of changing the starting time of a person's shifts. My son works in a care home where he receives at best the minimum wage. There is no shift pattern with a manager advising of shifts over the next week or so by posting a duty roster. On three occasions recently he has finished work one day and gone home. On returning on an early turn the next day he has found that his shift has been changed since leaving work the day before to a late turn. No notification by phone or text or email has been given he has turned up for work and had to go home and return later.
