hi everybody x very new 2 this website so uncertain on wot 2 do x if sum1 cud help me i wud b truly grateful x
this mornin i received a letter from the above company titled address verifacation, basically they want 2 know i am that person living at that address. now i do not know what debt they are seeking as there is no reference 2 say x its asking me 2 contact them on a 0844 number x shud i do as they ask or what? am at a loss xx

Verify nothing with them, and don't call them either. If they have any legal entitlement to collect on a debt, they'd have the details and they'd have to tell you who they are collecting on behalf of.

Why do they need to verify anything? Sounds like they are fishing.

I'd be inclined to recycle that letter any way you see fit.

Agreed with the above posts.

Wescott have probably sent the same letter to all the people with the same surname as yours in your local area. Do not contact them, wait see if they send you anymore letters.

Once they do let us know here and we will point you in the direction of a template letter for a prove it letter telling them to prove the debt belongs to you, or they can go do one basically.

hi everybody, i recently wrote on this page regarding the above company about my identity. this morning i received a red letter from them acting on behalf of a company known as Arrow Global Company-sdfs, telling me i owe £603, i have never heard of them. Apparently i have 7 days to pay this in full or they are going to take further action. i am getting quite worried now. Can anyone tell mewhat my next step should be? i would be truly grateful xx

Just ignore for now its typical empty DCA threats, notice how they failed to state what that further action will be? They do that delibrately as state legal action (which is the only further action they can take), when they have no intention of taking any legal action is a big no no, hence why they do not mention legal action. So further action means, more letters of the same, and maybe phone calls. If the calls start then send them a prove it letter.

Have they yet stated what the debt was for, credit card, loan, bank account etc? if not then you have no reasont to respond to them just yet. Arrow by the way, are just another DCA who wescott are acting on behalf off.

You could off course draw a big V finger sign on a piece of paper with PROVE IT Printed underneath. As that about all they deserve right now lol

Ghost, no offense intended but we do not support posting links to debt management plans that charge fees. LB supports payplan and CCCS and free debt management plans where fees are not charge. Gregory Pennington charge fees.

I also find it strange that you say you have dealings with these people (wescott i assume) yet it is not clear as to if the OP of the thread is actually debtor, so why on earth would she/he even consider entering a debt management plan when as far as the OP is concerned she does not owe the debt?

Also Arrow global is no part of Shopdirect Arrow global is an independant Debt collection company who also purchase debts, though granted they probably deal with debts owed to shop direct along with debts owed to other companies and organisations.

I know your just wanting to help Ghost, but in furture please do not post links to debt management companies that charge fees.

hi teaboy2 x thanx 4 ur reply, the letter does not state what the debt is for, only that they are acting on behalf of arrow global guernsey ltd-sdfs, 2 recover this debt. It also says failure 2 contact them will result in further recovery action. Do u think i shud contact them and ask them wot's it all about? or sit tight n w8? xx

JUst ignore for now. There futher enforcement action will be phone calls. Then its time to send them a letter.
