    Hi All

I am fairly new to Legal beagles, I am a retired ICU nurse and Union activist, currently doing some volunteer work on Social policy with the CAB in Somerset.

I am currently looking into the Solar Panel industry with a special interest in the selling techniques and consumer targets of that body.

I would be particularly interested in 'Rent a Roof' aka free Solar Panelling offers. If anyone has had experiences good/bad/indifferent then I would like to hear from them. I am working on a presentation on this issue with a colleague for early July, all contributions will be sanitised.

    Hi John

    Welcome to Legal Beagles.

Unfortunately i don't have any input to give about the solar panel issue, though i am knowledgable on what is acceptable sales practices and what are unlawful etc. Being that my own business is based on sales (Not solar panels but office supplies wholesale). Also i could provide input on forced selling practices which you may or may not know, would come under the protection from harassment act 1997 or breach of data protection act 1998 (if sales company fails to remove details and continues to call despite being told to remove details). So if you would like or need any input on any of the above i can help you with that, especially if you have details as to what sales pitches are being used etc.
