my wife was paying DLC by standing order and received a letter in Feb 2010 stating if she opted for direct debit they would reduce tyhe account by £220.00 obviously it was worth doing so direct debit was set up but the deduction was never applied, they simply say when it will come off the end of the debt. My wife was diagnosed with cancer in october and is struggling to pay the debt. i contacted them for full particulars of the debt and notice of assignment as i wanted to see what the original debt was. I also requested a CCA. On saturday I received a letter from Hilleseden security enclosing a copy of the letter sent to my wife at the time they acquired the debt 29 March 2006, ' copy of the key pages of the sale agreement between Hillesden securities ltd and citifinancial. Please note we are unable to provide a full copy of the agreement because tyhe information contained within it is commercially sensitive, we would be happy to supply a full copy to a judge when required in court, In this case the sole purpose of the document is to prove that we acquired a batch of accounts from Citifinancial, of which your wifes account is included' The document is dated 18 Feb 2005, yet they only assigned the debt in 2006? They also say tyhat the request for a cca has been forwarded to citi and they will forward a copy when it becomes available, furthermore should i wish to make a claim for ppi, mis sold etc i should write to citi.

    Any advice guys
