Hi,
I've come across these forums whilst searching for information which steps I could take with the current issue I have with KGB Deals. Looking through the forums I could not notice amount of expertise is available in here and I do sincerely hope someone will be able to point me to the right direction.
Before you start slaying me for buying something from KGB Deals I admit having bought few things from them in the past and never had any issues until now....
I was looking for a getaway deals in Tenerife or Lanzarote through travel agencies so could buy my husband a birthday present for next year. Whilst looking through available options I noticed KGB Deals were offering a deal through one of travel companies for a 7-day self-catering deal for two people for £99 which seemed reasonable deal for the resort in question.
I bought two vouchers (separately) as my parents decided to join the trip as well. After buying vouchers I contacted this travel company ''4u2go'' and gave dates available for travel. As mentioned on the voucher I gave quite a few dates available to travel.
After exchanging emails with ''4u2go'' eventually i was advised that none of dates are available for travel and I was offered an exchange resort in Tenerife. Obviously not impressed with this I said no, I am not interested and contacted KGB Deals asking for refund. I have also looked at this ''4u2go'' and found out they are registered in some virtual offices in London. I have informed KGB Deals of this as well and mentioned my disappointment of finding out KGB Deals would deal with such companies.
Two days later I have received a reply from KGB Deals advising me that no refund can be issued as in terms & conditions it was noted that supplier reserves right to change resort of the deal. I pointed out that changing island is not what sounds like changing resort.
I advised KGB Deals that with current legislation they are acting not withing their full right and if me progressing this further they will definitely lose out only to be said once again that they will act based on suppliers terms & conditions and no refund will be given.
Funnily enough the same day I have received email from ''4u2go'' stating that unfortunately they could not offer dates requested and they have contacted KGB Deals informing them to refund me.
I have obviously re-sent this message to KGB Deals stating their previous email mentioned of following suppliers wish and based on that they should progress with the refund. KGB Deals haven't answered to this at all.
One week later having still received no refund I forwarded ''4u2go'' email stating this has been received by me and still no refund was issued by KGB Deals only to be blanked off again.
I am wondering at the moment what possible next steps I could take further as obviously losing £194 is not something I would be happy with even though being bit silly expecting these people to honor their previous deals.
Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Sandra
