    Re: Hello

Mmmm...... I wonder why the charities do not support the UE route. I would imagine there must be a good reason for it or they would all be supporting it.

As I have already stated, there is absolutely nothing wrong in exploring the UE route. At the end of the day only the OP knows the outcome they want from this situation. As you rightly say, DMP or UE your CRF is ruined. If you go the UE route you are likely to be able to avoid paying anything for quite a long time. If you go the DMP route you are likely to stop all interest and charges being applied to your account, start paying back what you owe and avoid a lot of stress from receiving threatening letters (however legal or otherwise threats in those may be) from your creditors.

If the OP is happy to cope with the stress of all that, then fair enough. However, there is a debt to pay. At the moment they cannot find the agreement, but it may be found.

One thing I don't think any of us have asked the OP is whether this is their only debt or whether there are others. If there are others, it would be helpful to know more detail as the support you are offered will improve the more people understand the full context of your situation.

      Re: Hello

The reason is a lot of these charities are still linked financially to institutions..

However, no matter the route you take UE or DMP there is good information in the link I provided and throughout this site.

But if you want UE help this site isn't the one for you.

        Re: Hello

Thank you so much for all the replies guys

so hopefully (please forgive me I have days when technology hates me) attached is what we got back a few days ago.

Cabots are saying that they have the right to file the default. How are they able to do this if they cannot produce the original signed agreement?
