  • Hi

    Hello All

owe £29k over 13 accounts, mixed CCs, loans and overdraft. Until this month was in a DMP for just over 3 years with DCM who have gone into administration - taking this month's payments with them.

Was shocked when I sat down and did the sums over how little of the money I had paid over had actually gone to paying off the debts - more fool me!

Anyway, given the problems I experienced with DCM with missed payments etc. I thought I would have a go at 'going it alone'.

Several of the debts are with Moorcroft, who when I rang them to let them know about DCM still wanted this month's payment!, and said they would need another I & E and offers of payment.

With the house falling down around my ears because I can't afford to maintain properly and the notice of my job ending in the next few months I am really concerned that having left 'the bosom' of a dmc I will end up being pressured, cajoled and bullied into paying more than I can afford.

Several questions if people can help please:

My son (20) lives with and is in full time education (3 days a week) essentially because of mental/emotional health issues - he is unlikely to work but the issues are not so severe that he receives state benefit and can't claim JSA. Is a DCA likely to view him as a dependent?

Moorcroft's website has the facility to submit and I & E and another screen for additional details on-line. Is it ok to use these? Does anyone have any experience of using them please? Is it better to submit my own?

Sorry this is a bit rambling for a first post!

    Thanks
