  • Hi everyone

    Hi everyone,

When I read through the Swift Advances posts I realise that Im not alone and they are very out of order.

I took out a 20k loan in 2002, pre regulation, can anyone explain that phenomena. I have been to FSA, FSO, old uncle tom cobbly and Swift themselves. I asked for a redemption that came out at 48k, i have paid 23k, still owe them 24k and they now say that the 240mnth contract will be extended by 10 years at the end of the term because, they say, I owe them £241 from Dec 2003. I cannot prove or disprove as my first statement came in 2008. They are so voracious I cannot see them letting me owe a month without chopping off at least one limb. Now, where do I go and what do I do. They first said that I had no arrears and now find £241 from somewhere. They paid back £466 for alledged arrears letters last year because I had none, now they have found this sum of money. So on interest rates how does £241 equate to another ten years totalling 30k. I will be retired, they will take my home. My only sin was losing my husband in 2000 and finding that he owed 20k for a franchise with no insurance, I was stupid to get involved but also very naive at the time. Is it a lost cause guys, ive tried everyone and Swift seem to be coated in teflon. Nothing sticks.
