  • Hello everyone! Newbie here

I just wanted to say a big hello.

I, probably like a lot of your members, came across your excellent advice because I'm in 'trouble' too.

I'll keep reading though before I start to pester you all for advice though, but being 'legal jargon challenged' it probably won't be long before you see my name next to a huge HELP!!!

...but just to give you a clue, it involves Delete(UK) Ltd.

Anyway, back to reading (even though I don't understand half of it!)

Hi and welcome to Legal Beagles.

This company called Debt (UK) Ltd was wound up on 16 Dec10 - so in liquidation.

I am assuming that they were a Claims Management Company and would have been authorised by the Minstry of Justice.

What exactly were they doing for you and had you paid any upfront fees?

Perhaps you could explain more about the problem and we can try and help you.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome everyone.

It's a bit 'long winded', so I think it'll be better if I start another thread (that's not in the newbie section)

But they were challenging the enforcability of my credit card agreements (x2 Barclaycard/Egg). Yes they took the fees (roughly £1800?? - I can't remember the total now, I'll check later)

The told me to cancel my direct debits, that was nearly 6 months ago.
Ive had Mercers and now Calders pestering me several times a day.

They told me to say this if anyone calls... "I have successfully challenged the enforceability of any agreement and require you and your agent/s to delete any and all personal information about me"

Now Calders are threaterning court action.

Which is the best section to start a thread in?
(I have complete brain freeze with all of this )

            Hi Sue

The place I think now is the debt collectors section http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...play.php?f=250
because the CMC is no longer and they have left you up the swanney without a paddle.

Can you when you start a new thread give a time line of everything that has happended?

Did you pay this £1800 on a credit card and how long ago?

When you start a new thread I will put the link from the MOJ 'What you should do is your CMC goes bust'
