In an anouncement made this week, the Government is to abolish:

Consumer Focus,

Consumer Direct

and the OFT

...... so the OFT bridge is now blown up as well.

.... and just when Barclays introduced their latest update of T&C's..

darn clever and psychic these Barclays considering the content...

At least OFT went out on a high but I'm sure something will replace it's logic.

Its not really being abolished, it's merging with the Competition commission and a new body, the Consumer Protection and Markets Authority are coming into being for consumers.
