Lots of people use both, or three or four, for the same or different issues. I think when you are looking for advice its a good idea to get as broad range of thoughts, especially initially as possible, different sites have different ethos's, people and knowledge. So long as people are polite and keep those helping them up to date if something elsewhere means you take a different path. I use MSE for smaller problems or simple moneysaving stuff simply because there is a huge range of people on there. I know what you mean about here and OTR though, lots of people feel guilty using here as well and use different usernames .... prolly cause peeps get banned if they are caught lol, we're like the bike sheds pmsl xx all the best stuff happens there
