  • Speaking to the converted

    :_thedoctor__by_GuyF just teleported from CAG.

have a few threads going, that seem to have dried up. it seems that the many knowledgeable dudes seem to have flown / pushed from the coop.

I think that CAG has decidedly gone down hill. there's talk of compulsory membership fees etc.

post seem to be overly moderated - thought it was a place for assistance when requested. post a few links to help answer a question and - whoa there cowboy you can't post that - .:boink: post deleted

So, glad there is an alternative place to go for assistance etc.

    Hi there Sharpman

Glad to see you've mastered the smileys already!

    Warm welcome to Legal Beagles
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

              just reading posts again

              CAG considering compulsory membership fee.....

have the admins been dropped on their heads from a great height lately,or are they on drugs or something?

if they really want to kill it,that's the road to go down

baton down the hatches-we could be in for a major ex-CAGGER influx

I think it was mentioned once as an idea for raising funds to keep the site going - and was discounted almost immediately so I really wouldnt worry about that happening.

I think membership fees would deliver the death blow to Gag but things are already pretty mad there so who knows what may happen.

It'll be deliciously ironic if they do. Then we can accuse them of being a commercial site, not that that's in any doubt really what with all the ads for books, toolbars and the like they allow.
