    brokerage fees ----a scam??

    okay , i know it was stupid , but i recently applied for an unsecured loan , to enable me to pay off the finance on my aging car , and leave a few quid spare , ok , spreading the payments out a while longer but cheaper and more manageable.
    got recommended to magic finance , and fell for it hook line and sinker (i think) sales patter great , loan agreed in principle , just dot i and cross t etc......,just needed a broker fee of 69.99 to kickstart process . now no contact , no customer services answering phones , no contact at all . help!!what to do?how do iget my brass back and get them to destroy my details??

      They should have a OFT licence if they are giving loans and I could not see that they were on the brief look just now. You could try the OFT site to see if they are registered with them.

      If you really cannot make any contact with them, then you must make a complaint to your local Trading Standards agency and make them aware of the fact that they took money from you and that you now cannot reach them.
