  • I'm Impressed

:beagle:like our canine friend here, sniffing around looking for help and advice on bailiffs. Have found your site illuminating, I'm expecting a call tomorrow from our esteemed friends!!!! aka Equita. Have spoken to them and told them not to bother coming as they will get nothing. Judging by the response it's a definitive case of the gatepost syndrome. Want to thank you all for the info, it's very much appreciated.

    Good luck
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

What kind of debt is Equita hoping to collect when they visit you?

        Re: I'm Impressed

B'ham council in spite of numerous letters continued to give me discount for single occupancy of my property. At the end of last year they decided to collect the back tax due. I was not informed of any court hearing but received a letter from Euita (delivered by hand, but just posted through the door, with no contact even though I was in the house at the time) stating that I had 24hours to pay the debt in clear funds. I rang the bailiff and told him that I wasnt in a position to pay at the moment but wasnt refusing to pay, I asked if I could have until the end of the month to put together the payment (£1200) he told me I could have 6 days and that he would be round on friday to collect the money. I told him I wouldnt be paying him and that he would not be gaining access to my property, so would he please return the paperwork to the council. He stated he could not do that, I told him he could and that I knew my rights, he told me I didnt know what I was talking about and that he would be round friday(today to see what he could obtain. I am at the moment waiting for him to arrive. Will post the sequel when or if he attends.

Well he probably won't turn up, so don't hold your breath. Once bailiffs know you can't be bullied they tend to crawl back under their rocks.

              Welcome glyndriver,

Good luck in keeping off the goons, and don't be bullied by them. It's great that you were able to inform the idiot of your rights, so let's hope they've chickened out for now - they usually are quite spineless. Look forward to your update.

              All the best,

Have you thought about disputing any of the nefarious charges that have doubtless been added to your account?

I love that word, nefarious! Has a certain ring to it, don't you think?
