  • legalsolutions4u help

Hi we purchased a car in September the ad stated was mechanically seems spot on hubby had a 20 min test drive he was told about 1 fault which they agreed to fix, car was delivered to us we drove that night and the car was making noises so we got in touch with the dealer and asked him to fix it they collected the car from us on the 12th Oct and has kept it ever since we`ve been chasing and he said they couldn't find any issue and would get someone else to look at we wasn't happy with this as we had only had the car for a couple of days before going to be repaired, and said we would sort it so we told him to bring the car back and give us some money back to cover the repairs we will get done, he agreed but only if we sign a disclaimer for the last 2 weeks we have been waiting for legalsolutions4u to deal with this now being told the case handler is away we just want our car, the dealer refuses to give it back without us signing. I know am at a loss at what to do as he is pretty much holding our car to ransom what can we do complain to
Ive since read the reviews of the dealership and seems he has done this more than once to others and has a shady past can i get on to trading standards who can help get my car back

    Hi SLC2010

    Welcome to LB

How did you pay for the car?

What has LS4Y to do with getting your car back?

      Hi thank you,
we part exchanged a car and paid the rest in cash, its an old car and we knew some things had to be done but the dealer would have known about the things that we found.
the dealer has instructed LS4U to draw up this agreement for us to sign.
from what i have seen on the car dealers trustpilot reviews he uses them a lot to silence annoyed customers I believe this agreement is basically us saying we wont give him a bad review or report his business.
now LS4U are stalling with the agreement and he wont give us the car back

Is the Dealer a member of any bodies or associations?

Also no doubt the Dealer has form from what you posted, has the Dealer been reported to Trading Standards via CAB?

just tell the dealer "it's money back or off to court we go."
No legal reason for you to sign anything, and especially avoid anything that LS4U produce

On the information you have provided you are protected by Consumer Rights Act 2015.
LS4U will produce all sorts of reasons to delay

From that template letter delete :" clearly not roadworthy." and insert "unsatisfactory.
Also delete " minus an agreed amount for fair usage." and insert "plus my costs"

There is no point in giving LS4U a starting point for arguing!
