  • CCJ at address i am landlord of. Never lived there

Hello, I have a CCJ which i was only made aware of with an alert on my credit report

I purchased a house in 2014 and I have never lived there. The address has always been rented out to tenants. I had a default issued in 2019 at my current address by a bank who has always sent correspondance to my current address. I have not paid the default yet and their legal team applied for a CCJ in the matter.

The court case judgement was filed on 02/08/2023 but it is addressed to the property i rent out even though all correspondance between myself and the bank have always been at my current address. I presume they have sent the order to the rented out address as I have a mortgage on this address which shows on my credit file.

I was only made aware of the judgement by checking my credit report recently. I spoke with their legal team over the phone and explained this but they was not willing to set aside the CCJ.

I am considering to do the N244 myself. I have not paid anything towards the CCJ but before I go ahead could anybody help me with an email to send to their legal team stating my case. I have tenancy agreements which show the property has always been occupied by tenants and on my credit file all records are listed at my current address other than the mortgage which the CCJ is addressed to.
