I am the captain of a clubs domino team, I was approached by a member asking if he could join. He told me that he had been barred "sine die" for arguing with a committee member a few years ago. He wishes to start playing again. The rules of the league state that "anyone offering any kind of violence will be automatically be barred from the league"

Barred 'sine die' normally just means 'barred indefinitely' (as opposed to barred for a specific period of time) and doesn't imply that the member could never be readmitted. That would be a decision your committee could make taking into account the rules of the league you play in and the rules (if any) of your own team. As you are a team in the league you could take advice from the league itself on what the league rules permitted and who makes the decision about whether this person can play in a league team again - the team or the league?Last edited by PallasAthena; 21st October 2024, 13:15:PM.All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience.
