  • Money Claims online claim moved to paper

    Hi,

Does anyone know why a claim I made via the Money Claims service might now be showing this message:
'defendant' applied by post to change something about the claim

We’ll post you a copy of their application. This will explain what you need to do next.

Your online account won’t be updated - any further updates will be by post.

It's been like that for a couple of weeks and I've had nothing by post.

Up to now I filed my claim, they filed their defence and also applied for a strike out/summary judgement.

I responded to that defence, and then the above message started showing a few days later.
Would their strike out./summary judgement be the thing that the message refers to about changing the claim?

    TIA

Money Claim doesn't give you sufficient details, when your case is progressing, so the best thing to do is ring the Court. You don't want to find that you have to do something that's 'time sensitive', but you've run out of time.

If I was the claimant I would be confused by the message that the defendant has applied to change the claim

More understandable would be a message "the defendant has applied to amend his defence"
