My friend was acting like a joker at a fancy dress disco booking about the dance floor engaging positively with many strangers in a jovial way. He tapped a woman’s backside and danced near her.
She complained and had the police called. Despite his act being without malicious or sexual intent and the circumstances and environment in which it occurred, He now faces either a caution or going to court (both for sexual assault!!) both will ruin his life forever!
(if a woman tapped a man’s back side and the man complained and asked for the police to be called, I’m sure the genuine intention would be seen and it wouldn’t have gone to such extreme lengths)
does my friend take a caution for sexual assault and ruin his career or should he take it to court with the risk of being convicted -
if he takes it to court how much chance does he have of the case being seen for its innocent intentions and being dropped??
