  • Selling a property with a charging order

Just a bit of advice needed. Not sure if this is the right place but here goes.

Quick background got in a lot of debt a long time ago which ended up with a charging order against my house. We now want to move in a couple of years or so and was wondering of the best way to deal with it. I'm basically thinking of either remortgaging now and adding it in to the total or deal with it when I move?

    Hi
    Welcome to LB
Do you own the house as joint tenants?

You should check the wording of the restriction on your property at the Land Registry to find out if the judgement creditor applied to court to update the restriction

    Please read the article at:

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
