  • Appealing a 53j - Pedestrian Zone

Hi all, I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to appeal against a PCN for an alleged contravention of 53J - entering a pedestrian zone (school) during restricted hours.

My wife entered the zone whilst trying to find a venue located at the very back of the street. After reviewing both the council's evidence and Google Maps, I find it to difficult to argue on the grounds that the signs were unclear as she admitted that she had overlooked due to her unfamiliarity with the area.

Our main argument rests on the fact that the venue is situated within the park at the rear of Priors Farm Lane (the white building located within the park), with no alternative access routes available. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    LY

Suggest you post on "Free Traffic Legal Advice" (https://www.ftla.uk/index.php) where there is much knowledge about council penalty charges
