Relatives booked return flights from a provincial airport to Majorca. British Airways cancelled the flights and rebooked them at no extra cost from Heathrow, reason given that the flight was not being operated. The extra cost incurred was in time, and payment to the private hire firm that transported them to and from Heathrow.
On their return on Saturday, they saw that the flight they had originally booked was operating to the original airport. Passengers confirmed they were flying to the provincial airport.
Have the relatives grounds for compensation for their time and extra transport costs incurred?
