  • Slander/Defamation

    To Everyone,

A friend (now former friend) of mine has slandered me, thus she threatened to report me both to the police & NHS making accusations that I am a "pedophile", so I have informed my vicar at the church that I attend services and brought this matter to his attention so that I will be suing her for slander.

I wish to seek a solicitor's firm that specialises in this area of litigation through legal aid (I am on means tested benefits).

    Your assistance is appreciated,

    TakeIX

Has she reported you to anyone?

You won't get legal aid to bring a defamation case. At best, you may be able to get a "no win, no fee" deal.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

        WALES01MAN,

She notified me that she is going to report me to the bishop (I am not dismissing this as a bluff. I am taking it seriously)...

Maybe the best thing to do is make your own representations to the Bishop.
You need to show that you've tried to 'resolve' the matter, before turning to the Courts.
