  • Commercial landlord not fixing water supply

For the last 16 years I've rented a shop premises to run my barbershop business from.
Recently new tenants have moved into the premises next door,(same landlord)
They have admittedly had plumbing work done which has resulted in the disconnection of my water supply.
I have spoken to them 6 weeks ago when this first happened and they are refusing to admit responsibility.

I then spoke to the landlord and told him of the issue and the unwillingness of the tenants next door to help with the matter. He agreed to try and help and rectify the problem as landlord to both premises and came out with a plumber after about 1 week.
it's now 6 weeks later and I still have no water supply and my landlord is not acting on it at all.

Im at a loss and can't find any answers regarding the legal implications of this with it being commercial as all help I find is for residential.

Any help and advice is much appreciated.
    thanks

You need to examine your lease to see who is responsible for water supply.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
