  • Marks and Spencer Incident book query

Can anyone clarify a query in relation to M&S.
what is the purpose of the staff incident book?
    Who has access to it?
Can a member of the public who has been cited in the book view it under GDPR rules?
Is the registration of an incident a pre-cursor to legal action?
    many thanks in advance

You could make a Subject Access Request.

Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

      Thankyou.
can you further advise would information contained in that book form the basis of a potential precursor to legal action?

If it has information relevant to the incident, then that could be used as evidence.
You haven't stated what the incident was or given any details, so we can't say whether it is worth pursuing.
