  • advice needed on school fee dispute

our school recently announced closure so we left and ended our contract on the basis they were being wound up. we are now being hounded to pay terms fee in leui and the school are refusing our termination of the contract, despite a clause being in it that very clearly states either side can end the contract forthwith if the school is being wound up for any reason.
they are now threatening getting in their solicitors. Are they allowed to so this and simply refuse our right to terminate the contract? there are several of us in the same position all being told the same thing. advice welcome

Is the school operated by a limited company? Is that company being wound up?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
