  • Neighbour's Bench & Wall Pots fixed our Extension Wall

    Hi,
I'm very frustrated by our neighbours recent behaviour despite trying to resolve dispute amicably. We had our wall (our extension wall faces their patio) painted today and holes that the neighbour had made to hang plant pots filled to protect the wall before winter. Despite me messaging them asking to not hang anything on the wall after the works were completed they have screw back into the holes. We have also discovered that they have fixed a small bench to our wall also. What grounds do we have to ask them to remove all fixings and repair the wall? Thanks

Yes, in legal terms your neighbour has trespassed on your property. You may request them to remove whatever has been attached to the wall of your property and make good all damage.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
