I am 2 years into a complicated website project with a client. The client is making the project incredibly long and tedious and I've had enough. I want to get the project delivered as per the scope in the contract. But as the customer develops his business idea, he keeps requesting changes which means the project is taking longer to complete. I dont get paid until the job is done.
They have just asked me for additional products to be created for launch which is a lot of additional paid work, but to be frank, I don't want the work.
Where do I stand from a legal point of view? Do I have to do what they ask and never get the website finished? or can I refuse to do any additional work until the scope is complete and the website live? at which point I will be unavailable.
The customer signed a contract at the start but this is mostly basic covering payment terms etc.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys.
