  • Costs for defending Section 21

Hi I need to claim cost for successfully defending a possession claim and unsure what to do. The rate is £19:00 per hour or two thirds of what a Solicitor fee would have been.
I don't want to claim too much but realistically spent months working on defending this case

interested to hear other views but I do not think this can be claimed - hope for your sake I am wrong! You may be able to claim actual expenses (any court costs you may have had to pay etc) by producing receipts

You can claim £19.00 per hour as a litigant in person, but you must make your application for costs at the s.21 hearing.
